Gaining Clarity Along the Journey

It was a good but challenging week, trying to get more clarity on who I am and how to best use my skills for parnassah.

Four months ago I made Aliyah with my family.

As an Oleh Hadasha, I’ve been getting free business consulting sessions during this transition. It’s one of the many benefits we receive, in addition to Ulpan.

Part of my consulting has been looking at which parts of what I’ve done professionally feel most authentic.

I love to write. During my career as a freelance journalist, thank G-d, I’ve published many articles and columns. I also just finished a book.

As a teacher and coach, I help Jewish women and teens uncover their creative, spiritual, and vocational gifts.

I also publish a magazine for and by Jewish women across the spectrum of religious observance. We share art and writing about mental health and healing, as well as our journeys of religion, entrepreneurship, and aliyah.

Along my professional journey, I also started making websites and helping nonprofits write and design fundraising materials.

The challenge for me now is managing my time and setting goals, as well as having clarity, confidence and consistency — so that my energy is best used in service of my Creator.

I’m grateful for the guidance. And I continue to remind myself to enjoy each step of the journey.

It’s about progress not perfection.

Shabbat Shalom, from the holy forest of Tiv’on in Eretz Yisrael 💜

Daily Tehillim, 20 Tevet
Psalm 100:4-5 🌸

Come into His gates with thanksgiving, into His courtyards with praise; give thanks to Him, bless His name.

For the Lord is good; His kindness is forever, and until generation after generation is His faith.
